Located just outside the walled city.The Albert Hall lies in the Ram Niwas Garden, which has always been a place for recreational activities since the reign of Sawai Ram Singh ji .It built in 1868 A.D. This exquisitely designed garden with forcentry doors and a huge complex with small pools and fountains, flourishing lawns and beautiful flower beds all around was basically a famine relief project. It mostly attracted the British families where they entertained their guest and families quite often with the lavish gowns of the Men and formal colourful attires of the nobels and the high society club members, this park would come alive with the setting sun.The zoo has a very depressing atmosphere as badly nourished bird and animals have to survive here in their artificial homes with no sympathy or medical care. Albert Hall, designed by sir Swinton Jacob, a British architect who designed many palaces in Rajasthan. The Albert Hall has been converted into the Central Museum which proudly displays Rajasthan’s art and culture and outlines the Rajput morality with these lines: "A Rajput puts his life at risk if he is forced to abjure his faith, if he is deprived of his lands, and if his womenfolk are molested." This includes an exquisite collection of metalware, miniature portraits, sculptures, paintings, natural history specimen, even an Egyptian mummy and other objets d'art. Within Albert Hall, Rajastani village life is showcased through costumes of the various regions, the pottery work, brassware and woodwork. The Durbar Hall houses several exquisite carpets including the magnificent Persian Garden Carpet, the world's largest carpet of its kind, and one of India's finest art treasures. The carpet was woven in Kerman, Persia in 1632, and depicted the Garden of Paradise.It includes the lifestyle of the tribals such as Meenas, Bhopas, Bhils, Gadoliya Lohars and many more. One gallery has also been committed to the henna body art of Rajasthan, popularly called as 'Mehndi Mandana', which makes an exhibition of the typical Rajasthani motifs and designs that are so well recognized as ethnic all over the world.
